Helping Children with Cancer

Play and Art Therapy

We provide play and art therapy for children and their siblings who are too young to understand what is happening or struggle to verbalize their feelings and fears by painting the little “Big Five” figurines.

Accommodation

A “HOME” away from home, for supporting needs of the children and their immediate family in the most dignified and compassionate way during the child’s hospitilation and recovery. Accommodation is offered to the children and their immediate families who cannot afford the high cost of hotels and the daily travel to and from the hospitals whilst receiving treatment.  We at Out of Africa Children’s Foundation believe that parent’s presence is not only a great source of strength, comfort and support for the sick child, but also gives the parents the confidence to learn how to care for their sick child under professional guidance.
